In such severe heart problems, the nearest hospital or nursing home should be contacted so that too much time is not spent in taking the patient from his residence to the hospital.

It is better to call the ambulance as part of an emergency care because an ambulance is equipped with oxygen mask, saline and the other amenities which a patient needs. During emergencies, only the most able and the capable people should take control of the situation so that effective work is done instead of spreading the panic. If saline and the oxygen mask are appropriately given to a patient who is struck with a heart attack, the risk factor lessens to a large extent.
If a person faints due to any reason, it is better to sprinkle cold water over him. If the person is half unconscious, an immediate emergency care would necessitate him to drink some water. If possible, fan the patient as much as possible so as to bring him back to his senses. A person can faint due to many reasons such as tension, low blood pressure, and sunstroke or even by witnessing a heart-nerving incident like accidents. In these situations, blood pressure should be checked as part of emergency care and then the patient needs to be hospitalized if required.
